On February 19, 2014 in Hanoi, the Vietnam Association of Motorcycle Manufacturers held a press conference to announce the establishment and officially put into operation with 05 founding members who are motorcycle manufacturers in Vietnam, including: Honda Vietnam Co., Ltd., Piaggio Vietnam Co., Ltd., Vietnam Suzuki Co., Ltd., SYM Vietnam and Yamaha Motor Vietnam Co., Ltd.
